Job Description

Dupre' Logistics is currently seeking an experienced Area Fleet Maintenance Manager to join our team in Channelview, TX.

This key position is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within a designated area of the country, ensuring that Dupre equipment remains safe, compliant, and economical at all times. The Area Maintenance Manager will report directly to the Director of Maintenance and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain optimal equipment performance.



 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to maintenance teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

• Identify, establish, and manage relationships with vendors that meet Dupre's preventative maintenance and repair standards.

• Negotiate labor rates and parts pricing with vendors. 

• Manage Safety and CSA Scores to ensure compliance. 

• Oversee multiple shop locations and manage property operations. 

•Meet and exceed budgetary goals while maintaining preventative maintenance schedules. Review and approve daily/weekly invoices for payment.

•Conduct periodic mechanical and driver training.

•Perform regular financial reviews and reporting, including daily, monthly, and yearly assessments.

•Collaborate with operations to implement maintenance best practices and achieve budgetary objectives.

•Utilize company resources to optimize productivity and ensure high standards of service delivery.

•Promote teamwork within the department to support customers and achieve collective goals.

 

Job Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in maintenance management required; tank trailer experience is a plus.

• 5-10 years of shop management experience; R Stamp experience is a plus.

• Safety compliance is a condition of employment.

• Experience managing multiple remote maintenance locations and vendors.

• Proven P&L responsibility experience. Some college coursework or technical college preferred.

• 1-2 years Transportation experience is preferred. Experience in dedicated contract carriage logistics
