Job Title: Credentialing Specialist

Location: New York, NY

Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $28/hr

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Credentialing Specialist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and process initial appointments, reappointments, and ongoing credentialing audits for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and other providers.

  • Manage and verify all credentialing documentation, including background checks, education, licensure, certifications, references, and professional history.

  • Utilize MDStaff credentialing software to track, review, and maintain provider records with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, and timely completion.

  • Support the clinical privileging process in alignment with hospital bylaws, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including state and federal statutes related to credentialing.

  • Maintain working knowledge of credentialing laws, standards, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with internal departments, medical staff offices, and providers to resolve credentialing issues and ensure timely processing.

  • Assist with audits, quality checks, and process improvement initiatives related to credentialing operations.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in credentialing, medical staff services, or related healthcare administrative work

  • Strong knowledge of credentialing regulations, accreditation standards, and medical staff bylaws

  • Proficiency with MDStaff or similar credentialing software – Preferred

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with providers and staff

  • Ability to conduct audits and maintain accurate, compliant records

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Must be able to work on-site
