FREELANCE PHOTOGRAPHER NEEDED The Frederick News-Post, a six-day daily in Frederick, is seeking a skilled photographer with experience in photojournalism to work for our news, sports, and feature sections. The ideal candidate should have an eye for capturing unique and dramatic images as well as gathering information to create accurate and concise captions. Qualified candidates will have professional photography experience and the ability to tell a story with images. Were looking for someone who is a team player, has a positive attitude, and can work with a collaborative spirit with others under daily deadline pressures. Must also be internet/social media savvy and possess online skills to include writing brief web updates. News judgment, ethical and professional values are a must. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operators license and furnish a current driving record with no more than two points for a period of two years, and an acceptable driving history with no suspensions. Those applying must be open to working evenings, weekends and holidays. The immediate need is May 1st until May 27th and could lead to continued assignments in the future. The position is an independent contractor arrangement. The candidate must provide their own photographic equipment suitable for diverse assignments.
