Job Description
We are looking to add to our housekeeping team! Currently looking for one housekeeper to fill hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm Sunday through Thursday every week. We occasionally need additional help during special events, so more hours are likely available. Our housekeepers need to be self motivated and enjoy working quickly! This is a fun environment with our residents and care team, and our support teammates are just a special to us.
HOUSEKEEPER JOB DESCRIPTION
Resident's room:
- Clean toilet inside and out.
- Scour sink and vanity.
- Mop bathroom floor.
- Clean mirror.
- Check toilet paper, Kleenex and hand soap supply.
- Hang clean towel and wash cloth as needed.
- Empty garbage (replace liner weekly).
- Make bed. Beds are changed according to bath schedules or sooner if soiled.
- When beds are changed, move bed and vacuum underneath.
- Empty and clean night time commode with disinfectant (where applicable).
- Dust furniture, window sills, light fixtures and baseboards.
- Wash inside of window.
- Vacuum carpet.
Laundry:
- Assist PCA's to keep laundry going, check periodically. Fold personal clothing, towels, sheets, etc. and put in proper places.
- Keep laundry room tidy. Mop floor and wipe down appliances. Empty dryer vent after each use.
Living Area:
- Vacuum halls, dining room and living room.
- Mop kitchen.
- Dust living room furniture, window sills, light fixtures and baseboards.
- Empty all trash containers, including kitchen. Bag all trash and put in outside garbage cans.
- Water plants and flowers once a week, including those in residents' room.
- Windows are to be cleaned regularly, as weather permits.
- Front porch needs to be swept (hosed in summer) at least weekly.
Main Bathroom:
- Clean toilet inside and out.

Each room should have a thorough cleaning once a week.
The foregoing list is not intended to include all duties that you may be assigned. This position is supervised by the house manager. Problems, questions or grievances concerning work will be directed to her/him. In the event there may be a problem that cannot be resolved, you may contact the Administrator.
If you need time off, please arrange with a fellow worker to cover your shift and notify your manager.
It is required by law in many states, that all housekeepers be certified in infection control and has no communicable diseases. Check the regs in your state.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No previous felony conviction or conviction for fraud of the federal government.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Background check (BCI).
