Title: Internal Auditor

Location : Dallas, TX

Duration: 6+ months with possible extension

Rate : $50/hr to $80/hr on W2

Responsibilities:

Lead engagement planning activities for a wide range of complex internal audits, special projects, and department-wide initiatives.
Conduct comprehensive testing in support of internal audits; document procedures and results in accordance with established standards and methodologies. Identify control gaps and ineffective processes.
Coordinate fact-checking with auditees and ensure audit workpapers are accurate, clear, and properly documented.
Develop detailed internal audit engagement budgets, track actual hours against budget, and highlight any variances.
Communicate audit findings and issues to the audit team in a timely manner. Assist in the evaluation and communication of audit results.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing performance feedback and promoting professional development. Actively seek and offer upward feedback.
Uphold the firm’s standards of integrity, professionalism, and respect in all work interactions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in internal or external audit, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
Background in IT, operational, or financial auditing, or risk management.
Strong understanding of risks and internal control frameworks.
Professional certifications such as CISA, CPA, or CIA are preferred.
