Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN)

A Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist is needed in Chicago, IL.

This position is with a community-based, nonprofit organization committed to their patients and provides a wide array of services to meet the needs of their community.

Salary and Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $80,000
• Health Insurance – Employer covers 75% (Employee: $90 per pay period & Family: $256 per pay period)

Responsibilities:

• Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Must be available for community events and health fairs.
• Assess nutritional needs and dietary restrictions.
• Develop patient’s dietary-care plan addressing specific issues and start patients on the new program.
• Counsel patients/family individually and in groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.
• Conduct grocery store tours and tours at the organic garden with patients.
• Track and monitor patients’ outcomes for eating healthy and weight management through our patient registry and electronic medical records system templates to generate weekly and monthly reports.
• Assess substance abuse patients and ensure that appropriate food composition does not interfere with absorption of the opioid drug.

Requirements:

• MUST HAVE TO INTERVIEW: Clear and Active License in the State of Illinois
• Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN)
• Must be Board Certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Masters Degree from an Accredited Dietetics Program
• Valid Driver’s License in the State of Illinois
• A minimum of 3 years of community nutrition experience.
