In this role, you'll help build and maintain scalable web applications, support migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL, and work within a microservices architecture. You'll collaborate closely with Agile teams, contribute to cloud-based deployments using AWS and Terraform, and ensure systems are secure, efficient, and compliant. This position is ideal for someone with strong Java and cloud skills who enjoys problem-solving, working with cross-functional teams, and contributing to impactful federal initiatives. **Job Title: Mid-Level Cloud Engineer** **Location: 100% Remote (U.S. Based Only)** **Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder and eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance** **Employment Type: Full-Time** **Pay Rate: ($65-$75/hr. W2)** **Responsibilities:** **Key Responsibilities:** + Design, develop, maintain, and deliver scalable and reliable software using Java web technologies. + Develop enterprise web-based applications and support legacy system upgrades/migrations. + Collaborate with engineers and product owners to implement user stories using Agile methodology. + Write high-quality software code and develop unit tests. + Conduct reviews and analyses of architectures to ensure compliance with transition plans. + Develop technical documentation and customer presentations. + Maintain regular contact with customers and respond to requests promptly. + Participate in Agile teams, reviewing and estimating user stories. **Experience Requirements:** **Key Technical Skills:** + Java, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle + Web services (REST Based), Spring, SpringBoot, Hibernate + JSON, XML, JQuery, JavaScript + Splunk, Red Hat Cloud Forms, OpenStack, Tomcat, SOAP + IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, JBoss Application Server + AWS (including AWS Batch, RDS, DMS), Terraform + Experience in migrating applications using Oracle to Postgres SQL + Microservice architecture using Java/J2EE **Soft Skills:** + Communication + Teamwork + Problem-solving + Leadership **Additional Requirements:** + Clearance: Green Card and US citizen. Able to obtain Public Trust. Prior or Active Public Trust is a plus. + Experience with automation technologies like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Selenium, Jenkins, Nexus, and Docker. + Experience with CI/CD tools for testing and deployment. **Education Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline + AWS certifications preferred _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
