The opportunity

In this hybrid role located in Cranberry Township, PA, you will report to the Manager, RVI Load Development & Analysis • Reactor Component Engineering. Relocation assistance is not offered.

What you'll do

1. Engineer and qualify repairs, modifications, and new designs for components within the primary pressure boundary of Westinghouse-designed plants, including AP1000 reactors.
2. Run and interpret analyses using FEA tools (e.g., Ansys), perform closed-form calculations, and apply Westinghouse internal analysis codes.
3. Collaborate with component, system, and manufacturing leads to integrate subsystems and resolve emergent design issues.
4. Partner with project managers and subsystem/component leads to establish, track, and adjust project schedules.
5. Recognize technical risks, define mitigation strategies, and lead resolution.
6. Incorporate and document NRC/DOE/ASME codes, standards, and criteria throughout design activities.
7. Provide technical direction to and collaborate with national laboratories, subcontractors, suppliers, fabricators, and customers.
8. Support refueling outages on-site and remotely; expect periods of 12-hour and overnight work tied to time-sensitive operations.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Mechanical, Engineering Mechanics, or Aerospace preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in component structural analysis or thermo-hydraulics.

Career rewards

Base salary range: $69,200 to $86,500 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and skills. We are committed to transparency and equity in all people practices.
