Job Title: Supply Chain Planner

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Location: San Diego, CA 92121

Pay Rate: $43/hour on W2

Job Description:

The position is responsible / accountable for the overall demand management process including the creation of domestic and roll up of international unit sales demand forecasts across all sites including OEM products. Additionally, this position is responsible for owning the monthly Demand Management Process and the integrating the output from this process into the Sales and Operation Planning Process. Supports and works closely with Marketing, Sales, Global Supply Planning, Finance and Manufacturing. Jointly accountable with regions and WW Marketing for global forecast accuracy. Ensures alignment of forecast with global and regional business strategies. Responsible for product reviews based on ABC classification, in support of inventory target levels, service levels, and manufacturing efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with all worldwide business regions and/or worldwide Marketing to aggregate forecasts and ensure alignment with business strategies.
  • Support the development of skill competencies and processes across worldwide business regions, including SAP/APO, and legacy system efficiencies.
  • Identifies areas of opportunity and/or risk for continuous improvement within the worldwide supply chain.
  • Participates in Regional Demand Reviews and/or Inter-regional Supply Reviews.
  • Works closely with Supply Planning to leverage information sharing across organizations.
  • Works directly with the business and customer sources of demands to create forecasts at levels representative of market segments and product families.
  • Leads the monthly Demand Consensus meetings and facilitates the Global Demand Review
  • Is responsible for developing detailed forecasts by SKU, based on family level consensus forecasts, and provides analysis for use in the Sales and Operations Planning Process.
  • Works closely with Distribution Partners to leverage information sharing across organizations.
  • Jointly accountable with Marketing and Sales for overall forecast accuracy.
  • Works directly with key stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, etc.) and facilitates monthly Demand Review meetings.
  • Ensures business exceptions from these meetings are defined and escalated for decision-making at the appropriate S&OP meetings.
  • Manage product life cycle activities jointly with Marketing within the New Activities process.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining appropriate product aggregations.
  • Develops and maintains metrics to track performance and business contribution.
