Court Clerk IGeneral Responsibilities: Under close supervision of the departmental supervisors, perform a variety of simple to moderately complex clerical work relating to legal procedures in Circuit and County Court.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or its equivalent required; and
- At least one (1) year of experience in clerical work is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: - Thorough knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Working knowledge of modern office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and Adobe DC.
- Skill to operate with appropriate speed and accuracy a computer, printer, and standard office business machines including, but not limited to, a calculator, copier, scanner, and fax.
- Ability to type 30 correct words per minute.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.
- Ability to understand and follow simple to moderately complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of simple to moderately complex records, compile data, and prepare reports.
